How It All Started
Oscar H. Gutierrez began his work at the National Labor Relations Board.
In 1976, he was admitted to both the California and Florida State Bars.
In early 1977, and over the course of the next four years Oscar served the greater Latino community of Los Angeles while working at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice. In his time at the Center for Law and Justice, Oscar worked in several capacities, including that of acting director. Besides working on several impact cases, Oscar was instrumental in obtaining funds from the Federal and City governments for three city offices, that expanded the efforts of the Center to provide more services for the growing needs.
In 1981, Oscar moved on to private practice in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles.
In 1982, his brother Francisco joined forces with Oscar and the firm became known as GUTIERREZ & GUTIERREZ. Over the course of the next 17 years, GUTIERREZ & GUTIERREZ assisted clients in their legal matters in the areas of Personal Injury, Civil Rights, Real Estate and Immigration, amongst others.
In 1999, Oscar founded THE LAW OFFICES OF OSCAR H. GUTIERREZ and began work as a sole practitioner focusing primarily on Personal Injury and Real Estate matters.
In 2004, Oscar relocated to the Highland Park area of Los Angeles, to better assist the ever growing Latino community of California.
In 2011, Oscar’s son, Oscar Rene, fulfilled a lifelong dream by joining forces with his father. This has enabled the LAW OFFICES OF OSCAR H. GUTIERREZ to provide legal assistance to even more clients.
